(WNY News Now) – Jonathan M. Tresler, 34, of Fredonia, NY, faces third-degree rape charges following a months-long investigation into a juvenile assault.
Fredonia, NY – A 34-year-old man has been arrested on charges of third-degree rape after an investigation revealed he engaged in sexual intercourse with a juvenile victim. Jonathan M. Tresler of Fredonia turned himself in to the Chautauqua County Jail on January 6, 2025, following the investigation by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division.
The incident, which came to light on July 10, 2024, prompted authorities to begin a thorough investigation into the allegations. Following months of gathering evidence, authorities determined that Tresler was responsible for the assault. On January 6, Tresler voluntarily surrendered to the authorities and will answer the charges in the Village of Fredonia Court.
As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
