(WNY News Now) – A Jamestown man faces multiple charges after allegedly violating a protective order and assaulting a victim during a domestic dispute on the city’s south side.

Jamestown, N.Y. – On January 2, 2025, at approximately 7:44 p.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s Second Platoon responded to a residence on the city’s south side following reports of a physical domestic altercation.

Upon arrival, officers conducted an investigation and determined that Brian A. Lowers, 38, had struck the victim in the face and again with a blunt object, resulting in physical injuries. The victim sought refuge in a locked bathroom while Lowers fled the scene on foot.

Shortly after, officers located Lowers at a nearby location and took him into custody without incident. He was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

Lowers has been charged with Aggravated Criminal Contempt for violating a valid order of protection and Assault in the Second Degree for causing injury with a weapon. Additionally, Lowers had an outstanding warrant for Harassment in the Second Degree through Jamestown City Court.

As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
