(WNY News Now) – SYRACUSE, NY – A hit-and-run victim who sustained critical injuries on James Street has tragically passed away. The victim, identified as 64-year-old Tina Tice, succumbed to her injuries following the December 29th incident.
On the evening of the collision, Syracuse Police responded to reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle near the intersection of James Street and North State Street. According to initial findings, Tice was crossing outside a designated crosswalk when she was hit. She was transported to Upstate University Hospital in critical condition, but her condition was previously reported as stable.
Following the incident, officers identified and arrested 46-year-old Marquise Williams, the driver of the vehicle. Williams faces multiple charges, including Leaving the Scene of a Personal Injury Crash, Driving While Intoxicated, and Vehicular Assault in the Second Degree. He was issued an appearance ticket and released pending further legal proceedings.
