(WNY News Now) – HARRISBURG, PA — A convicted felon from western Pennsylvania was arrested last week after authorities discovered a large quantity of fentanyl and illegally possessed firearms, including a “ghost gun” and a Glock switch, at his residence.

Ismail A. Hamlin, 28, of Clairton, faces multiple felony and misdemeanor charges. He was arraigned Friday and denied bail due to the public safety risk.
The arrest followed a search warrant executed by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General’s Bureau of Narcotics Investigations, in collaboration with the Westmoreland County Drug Task Force and the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Narcotics Enforcement Team.
Authorities seized 478 bricks of fentanyl—equivalent to nearly 24,000 doses—along with 92 grams of crack cocaine. Investigators also recovered three assault rifles, including a ghost gun, two Taurus handguns (one with an obliterated serial number), a Glock switch, a large quantity of ammunition, and $19,677 in cash.
A young child was found at Hamlin’s home and is now receiving assistance from social services.
Hamlin, who has prior drug and firearm convictions, is legally prohibited from possessing weapons.
All charges are allegations, and Hamlin is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
