(WNY News Now) – ALLEGANY, NY — A Cattaraugus County man has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child following an investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
According to authorities, John A. Kiernan, 47, was arrested on February 1, 2025, at approximately 6:00 p.m. in connection to an incident that occurred on January 31, 2025, at a Route 417 address in Allegany. Deputies charged Kiernan with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Kiernan was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Town of Allegany Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
