(WNY News Now) – Machias, NY – A 68-year-old man was taken into custody on an active warrant issued by the Cattaraugus County Superior Criminal Court.
The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of Gene C. Tingue, of Machias, on January 27, 2025. Deputies apprehended Tingue at approximately 11:00 a.m. at a Route 16 address. The arrest was made in connection with a violation of probation warrant.
Authorities processed Tingue without incident before transporting him to the county jail. He is being held pending further legal proceedings. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
