(WNY News Now) – OLEAN, N.Y. — A routine traffic stop on West State Street led to the arrest of a 28-year-old man for drug possession, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies stopped Donte S. Lawson at approximately 9:20 a.m. on January 31, 2025. During the stop, authorities discovered he was in possession of suspected methamphetamine. Lawson was taken into custody and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Following his arrest, Lawson was released on an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in Olean City Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
