(WNY News Now) – CATTARAUGUS COUNTY, N.Y. — A 27-year-old man was taken into custody on an active arrest warrant and remanded to jail following a court appearance.

According to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, Alden W. Wilder, who is listed as homeless, was apprehended by Salamanca Police on February 3, 2025. He was then transferred to the sheriff’s office on an outstanding warrant issued by Cattaraugus County Family Court.

Wilder was processed and transported to family court for arraignment. Following the hearing, he was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail with bail posted. He is scheduled to return to court at a later date for further proceedings.

As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
