(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A Jamestown resident was arrested Thursday night following a narcotics investigation prompted by a federal probation check at an east side residence.
On February 6, 2025, at approximately 10:04 p.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department assisted the United States Probation Office in conducting a search of the residence. During the investigation, authorities discovered 26.7 grams of cocaine, digital scales, packaging materials, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency suspected to be proceeds from drug sales.
William Rivera Rodriguez, 53, was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. He was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd and 4th Degree and Criminal Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 1st Degree.
Rodriguez was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court. Authorities have indicated that additional federal charges may be forthcoming.
As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
