(WNY News Now) – LOCKPORT, NY – A Niagara County jury has convicted Matthew Glass, 24, of Atlanta, Georgia, on all charges in the murder of 48-year-old Robert Miller. The verdict, announced by District Attorney Brian D. Seaman, includes convictions for Murder in the Second Degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, and Witness Tampering in the Third Degree.
Glass fatally shot Miller on October 2, 2023, while the victim was seated in his vehicle on Pine Avenue in Niagara Falls.
“The defendant committed this brazen act of violence in the middle of a busy Niagara Falls business district,” Seaman said. “Mr. Miller’s family may never understand why the defendant shot him to death in cold blood, but hopefully, this verdict will impart a sense that justice has been done.”
The Niagara Falls Police Department led the investigation, with prosecution handled by First Assistant District Attorney Doreen Hoffmann and Assistant District Attorney Mattie Davis.
Glass is scheduled to be sentenced by Niagara County Court Judge John Ottaviano on April 10.
