(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – A Jamestown man was arrested following a reported fight on the city’s east side Thursday afternoon, according to police.

At approximately 3:32 p.m. on February 13, officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 2nd Platoon responded to a disturbance near the intersection of East 2nd Street and Winsor Street. Upon arrival, officers observed 38-year-old Jose E. Roman throwing objects at a passing vehicle.

When officers attempted to make contact, Roman reportedly attempted to flee the scene but was quickly apprehended without further incident. He was taken to the Jamestown City Jail, where he was booked on a charge of Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd Degree.

Roman was later released with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
