(WNY News Now) – ASHVILLE, N.Y. — A 25-year-old woman faces multiple charges after allegedly fleeing the scene of a crash while driving under the influence.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Jamestown Police Department on February 21, 2025, around 6:00 p.m. in response to a hit-and-run incident. Deputies located the suspect vehicle in a ditch near 4911 Baker Street Extension.
Following an investigation, authorities determined that Courtney M. Thomas, of Ashville, was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. She was taken into custody and charged with Driving While Intoxicated (Common Law), Failure to Maintain Lane, and Leaving the Scene of an Accident (JPD).
Thomas was issued appearance tickets for the Town of Harmony Court and will also face charges in City of Jamestown Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
