(WNY News Now) – Pomfret, NY – March 14, 2025 – A 23-year-old female was arrested early this morning for driving while intoxicated (DWI) following a traffic stop on Route 20 in the Town of Pomfret.
At approximately 2:23 AM, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office initiated a routine traffic stop. The driver, identified as Madison A. Wasik of Perrysburg, NY, was found to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated. After further investigation, Wasik was charged with DWI, DWI per se, Speed in Zone, and Consumption of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle.
Wasik was taken into custody and will appear in the Town of Pomfret Court at a later date to answer the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
