(WNY News Now) – The City of Dunkirk’s Treasurer’s Office has been closed and secured by the Dunkirk Police Department, Mayor’s Office, and DA’s Office following a Grand Jury subpoena.
Dunkirk, N.Y. – At approximately 2:00 today, March 18, 2025, the Dunkirk Police Department, at the direction of the State Comptroller’s Office and in coordination with the Mayor’s Office, assisted the District Attorney’s Office in executing a Grand Jury subpoena requiring the City Hall Treasurer’s Office to be secured.
No other details have been provided, and further inquiries have been directed toward the State Comptroller’s Office. WNY News Now has reached out to the Comptroller’s Office, and will provide updates as they become available.
