(WNY News Now) – ALLEGANY, NY – A 25-year-old Allegany man was taken into custody Sunday evening on an active felony bench warrant.
According to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, deputies located and arrested Zhuang T. Yan at a business in the Village of Allegany at approximately 5:54 p.m. on March 16. Authorities confirmed that Yan had an outstanding felony bench warrant issued by Salamanca City Court.
Following his arrest, Yan was transported to the Salamanca Police Department, where he was issued an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in Salamanca City Court later this week. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
