(WNY News Now) – Zachary A. Miller, 32, of Falconer, was arrested on March 4, 2025, following a street check by the Town of Ellicott Police, leading to multiple charges including drug possession and resisting arrest.

On March 4, 2025, at approximately 12:02 PM, officers from the Town of Ellicott Police Department conducted a routine street check on 32-year-old Zachary A. Miller of Falconer. During the encounter, it was discovered that Miller had provided a false name earlier in the day during a separate incident. When officers attempted to place him under arrest, Miller physically resisted, fought with an officer, and fled on foot. After a brief pursuit, he was apprehended and taken into custody.

In addition to resisting arrest, a search incident to the arrest revealed Miller was in possession of methamphetamine and fentanyl. The controlled substances were recovered during the search. Miller also had multiple active warrants from various law enforcement agencies, further complicating his legal situation.

Miller was issued an appearance ticket for the charges of Resisting Arrest, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree (two counts), and False Personation. He was subsequently transported to the Jamestown Police Department to face his outstanding warrants.

Miller is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court at a later date to answer to the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
