(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, NY – A Jamestown woman was arrested late Saturday night following a domestic dispute on the city’s south side.

According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the 3rd Platoon responded to a domestic incident at approximately 11:56 p.m. on March 22, 2025. Upon arrival, police determined that 23-year-old Alexis M. Ellsworth had obstructed another person’s breathing during the altercation.

Ellsworth was taken into custody and charged with Criminal Obstruction of Breathing. She was transported to the Jamestown City Jail and is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
