(WNY News Now) – Ellicott, NY – A local woman faces a felony charge after allegedly damaging a vehicle with a hammer, police say.

The Town of Ellicott Police Department arrested AngelMay M. Boyer, 46, on March 28, 2025, at 12:11 p.m., charging her with third-degree criminal mischief. Officers responded to a criminal mischief complaint, where Boyer is accused of striking the front windshield of a victim’s vehicle with a hammer, causing damage.

Following the incident, Boyer was taken into custody and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for a centralized arraignment. She is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court at a later date to face the charge. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
