(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — Dennis Park, 40, of Jamestown, was resentenced on March 31 to 18 years in state prison with 25 years of post-release supervision for his convictions on Rape in the First Degree and Criminal Sexual Act in the First Degree, both Class B felonies, according to Chautauqua County District Attorney Jason Schmidt.

Park had originally been sentenced in March 2020, but the Appellate Division of New York State later ruled the sentence was illegal and returned the case to Chautauqua County Court in November 2024. Given the option to withdraw his plea or be resentenced, Park chose to proceed with resentencing.
Judge David W. Foley imposed the concurrent sentences. The charges stem from an incident in August 2018, with the Jamestown Police Department handling the investigation.
