(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – A 21-year-old woman was taken into custody early Wednesday morning following a domestic dispute on the city’s west side.

According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers responded to the incident at approximately 6:02 a.m. on April 2. Upon investigation, authorities determined that Mariah J. Crandall allegedly prevented the victim from leaving a bathroom by blocking the door. During the altercation, she also reportedly damaged a towel rack belonging to the victim.

Crandall was arrested at the scene and transported to the city jail. She has been charged with second-degree unlawful imprisonment and fourth-degree criminal mischief.

She is currently being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
