(WNY News Now) – SALAMANCA, NY – A Salamanca woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated (DWI) following a traffic stop early Saturday morning, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities report that Jayme L. Otero, 48, was stopped at approximately 3:46 a.m. on March 29, 2025, on E. State St. in Salamanca due to multiple vehicle and traffic law violations. Following an investigation, deputies determined that Otero was intoxicated.
Otero was transported to the City of Salamanca Police Department for a chemical test, which she refused. She was then taken to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office for processing before being arraigned in Town of Little Valley Court.
Otero was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in City of Salamanca Court at a later date for further proceedings. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
