(WNY News Now) – A Falconer resident faces a misdemeanor charge following a domestic incident investigated by Town of Ellicott police.

ELLICOTT – Leighann M. Vanarsdale, 41, of Falconer, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Harassment in the Second Degree after police responded to a domestic incident reported in March.

The Town of Ellicott Police Department said the incident was reported as a past tense domestic dispute involving threats of physical harm. According to investigators, Vanarsdale allegedly communicated threats both verbally and through other means.

Officers located Vanarsdale on March 26, 2025, at approximately 12:30 p.m. She was taken into custody and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.

Vanarsdale is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court at a later date to respond to the charge. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

    Now people are reporting ” past tense ” domestic incidents and getting people arrested for verbal threats.We’ve become a nation of pansies and the town makes money off of it. Geez
