(WNY News Now) – A Jamestown man faces multiple charges, including DWI and resisting arrest, following a traffic stop on Linwood Ave. early Sunday morning.
Jamestown, N.Y. – At approximately 4:00 a.m. on April 13, 2025, officers from the Third Platoon of the Jamestown Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Linwood Ave. after observing a vehicle fail to keep right while traveling on Maple St.
The driver, later identified as 30-year-old Cory E. Bryant of Jamestown, initially exited the vehicle and began walking away from officers. When asked to provide identification, Bryant refused to comply with the officers’ repeated requests. His actions led to a struggle, and he was taken into custody for resisting arrest.
Upon being detained, Bryant was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) after further investigation. He was held pending arraignment at Jamestown City Court on charges of failure to keep right, resisting arrest, and DWI. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
