(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, NY – A Jamestown man is facing multiple charges following a disorderly conduct investigation on the city’s southside early this morning.

At approximately 7:55 AM on April 13, officers from the Jamestown Police Department responded to a call about a disorderly male at a southside residence. Upon arrival, officers determined that Richard Poorman, a 40-year-old Jamestown resident, had made threats to kill the victim and had violated a refrain-from order of protection by threatening harm to the protected party.

Poorman was arrested without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. He is currently facing charges of Harassment in the second degree and Criminal Contempt in the first degree. Poorman is being held in custody pending his arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
