(WNY News Now) – A late-night traffic stop in Jamestown resulted in the arrest of a 44-year-old woman on charges of driving while intoxicated and operating a vehicle with a suspended license.

JAMESTOWN – Officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s Third Platoon conducted a traffic stop early Saturday morning that led to the arrest of a local resident on multiple charges.

At approximately 3:52 a.m. on April 12, 2025, officers stopped a vehicle at the intersection of Sprague Street and Adams Street. The driver was identified as Melissa S. Paddock, a 44-year-old resident of Jamestown.

During the investigation, officers discovered that Paddock’s driving privileges were suspended in New York State. Field sobriety tests were administered, and Paddock was determined to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated.

She was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. Paddock is facing charges of Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the Third Degree.

She is currently being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
