(WNY News Now) – Justis K. Maxwell, 29, was arrested for driving while intoxicated (DWI) following a traffic stop early Saturday morning on Lincoln Street near East 8th Street.
JAMESTOWN, NY — At approximately 4:50 a.m. on April 12, 2025, officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 3rd Platoon conducted a traffic stop after observing Maxwell commit a traffic infraction. Upon approaching the vehicle, officers made contact with Maxwell, who identified himself as the driver.
Further investigation revealed that Maxwell was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and charged with DWI and DWI Per Se, in addition to failing to signal a lane change.
Maxwell was processed at the Jamestown City Jail, where he was issued traffic tickets. He was subsequently released on an appearance ticket. Maxwell is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date to answer to the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
