(WNY News Now) – A Jamestown resident is facing multiple charges after being stopped by Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s deputies early Saturday morning.
Mansfield, N.Y. – On April 12, 2025, at approximately 2:22 a.m., the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Route 242 in the Town of Mansfield, resulting in the arrest of 30-year-old Oscar A. Pineda Perez of Jamestown, NY.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Pineda Perez was found to be driving while intoxicated. During the stop, deputies observed several traffic violations, including moving from a lane unsafely, failing to keep right, and a registration display issue.
Following the stop, Pineda Perez was transported to the Ellicottville Police Department, where a chemical breath test was administered using a Datamaster device. He was then taken to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office for processing.
Pineda Perez was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Blood Alcohol Content of 0.08% or more, Moving from Lane Unsafely, Failure to Keep Right, and Registration Display Violation.
He was released on an appearance ticket and multiple uniform traffic tickets. Pineda Perez is scheduled to appear in the Town of Mansfield Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
