(WNY News Now) – SYRACUSE, N.Y. — At approximately 5:50 a.m. today, the Syracuse Police Department responded to a reported bomb threat at Destiny USA Mall. Officers were dispatched immediately after the 911 call was received to ensure the safety of mall employees, shoppers, and early morning patrons.

Police say all reported threats are taken seriously, and this incident was no exception. High-traffic areas like shopping malls are sometimes the focus of non-credible threats, but officers follow strict procedures to assess each situation thoroughly.

Law enforcement officials coordinated closely with Destiny USA management and on-site security during the investigation. The collaborative response helped ensure the safety of everyone at the mall and allowed for a timely return to regular operations.

As of this morning, no suspicious devices have been found, and there is no ongoing threat to the public. Police have not released details on the source of the threat, but the investigation remains active.

Destiny USA Mall remains open and operational, with no disruption to business hours or services.
