(WNY News Now) – A Jamestown man was taken into custody early Thursday morning following a reported physical domestic incident on the city’s west side.

Jamestown, N.Y. – Jamestown Police arrested 53-year-old Kevin L. Bellardo in the early hours of April 17, 2025, after responding to a domestic dispute at a residence on the west side of the city.

According to investigators, officers from the department’s third platoon were dispatched to the scene around 1:30 a.m. Upon arrival, police conducted an on-site investigation and determined that Bellardo had physically restrained a female victim as she attempted to leave the premises.

As a result, Bellardo was charged with Unlawful Imprisonment in the Second Degree, a Class A misdemeanor under New York State Penal Law. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail and is currently being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
