(WNY News Now) – A verbal altercation at a local business led to charges against a father and daughter accused of making repeated threats to an employee.

MAYVILLE, N.Y. – The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office has charged two Mayville residents with Aggravated Harassment in the Second Degree following a reported incident on the morning of April 8, 2025.

Deputies responded at approximately 10:00 a.m. to a business on West Lake Road in the Village of Mayville for a complaint involving harassment. According to authorities, an investigation revealed that 57-year-old Larry M. Passinger and 25-year-old Alexis N. Passinger were involved in a series of threatening actions directed toward an employee at the location.

Sheriff’s officials stated that Larry allegedly made several verbal threats to the employee in person before leaving the business. Shortly afterward, Alexis is accused of repeatedly calling the same employee and issuing additional threats over the phone.

Both individuals were charged with one count each of Aggravated Harassment in the Second Degree under New York Penal Law §240.30-1a. The charges stem from allegations of communicating threats with the intent to harass, annoy, or alarm another person.

Larry and Alexis Passinger are scheduled to appear in the Town of Chautauqua Court at a later date to answer the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
