(WNY News Now) – A Jamestown resident was arrested Thursday morning after allegedly entering a west side home and falling asleep on the couch.
JAMESTOWN – On Thursday, April 17, 2025, at approximately 7:40 a.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s First Platoon responded to a reported trespass incident at a residence on the city’s west side.
Following an on-scene investigation, police determined that Gabrielle B. Wright, 23, of Jamestown, had unlawfully entered the home through a first-floor window. According to authorities, Wright was found asleep on the resident’s couch.
Wright was taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. She was charged with Criminal Trespass in the 2nd degree, a class A misdemeanor under New York State law.
Wright is currently being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
