(WNY News Now) – A 76-year-old Frewsburg man faces multiple charges following a motor vehicle accident Saturday night in the Town of Poland.

POLAND, NY – On Saturday, April 19, 2025, at approximately 9:00 p.m., the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Falconer Frewsburg Road in the Town of Poland.

Deputies on scene identified the driver of the vehicle as Kenneth H. Yocum, 76, of Frewsburg. Following an investigation, Yocum was found to be operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He was subsequently arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), Aggravated DWI with a blood alcohol content of 0.18% or higher, and moving from lane unsafely.

Yocum was released and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Poland Court at a later date to face the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
