(WNY News Now) – A driver sustained minor injuries after their vehicle rolled over on Route 353 in Dayton on April 20, 2025, following a brief distraction while using a GPS device.

On April 20, 2025, at approximately 1:13 p.m., deputies responded to reports of a rollover accident on Route 353 in the Town of Dayton. Upon arrival, law enforcement determined that the accident occurred when the driver became distracted by their GPS device.

The driver was unable to successfully navigate a turn, causing the vehicle to veer off the road. It briefly went onto the shoulder and nearly into a ditch. While attempting to regain control of the vehicle and steer back onto the roadway, the driver lost control entirely. The vehicle slid into the oncoming lane of traffic before flipping onto its roof.

The driver, who appeared to suffer minor injuries, was transported to Erie County Medical Center (ECMC) for treatment.
