(WNY News Now) – A Killbuck woman was arrested early Saturday morning for driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop in Salamanca revealed multiple violations.
On April 19, 2025, at approximately 3:29 a.m., Kerri L. Santiago, 37, of Killbuck, NY, was arrested for driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop on Broad Street in the City of Salamanca. Santiago was initially pulled over for several vehicle and traffic violations.
Following the stop, officers determined that Santiago was under the influence and transported her to the City of Salamanca Police Department for a chemical test. The test confirmed she was driving with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08% or higher.
Santiago was then transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office for processing. She was processed and released on an appearance ticket, alongside several uniform traffic tickets. The charges she faces include Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the First Degree, Driving While Intoxicated, Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Blood Alcohol Content of 0.08% or more, as well as Uninspected Motor Vehicle and No/Inadequate Muffler.
Santiago is scheduled to appear in the City of Salamanca Court at a later date for further proceedings. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
