(WNY News Now) – A Perrysburg man was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) following a traffic stop in the City of Salamanca early on April 23, 2025.

SALAMANCA, NY – A 30-year-old man from Perrysburg, identified as Nathan Mohawk, was arrested early Tuesday morning after a traffic stop in the City of Salamanca led to a DWI investigation.

At approximately 2:04 a.m. on April 23, 2025, Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office deputies initiated the stop. Upon contacting Mohawk, deputies observed signs of intoxication, prompting them to conduct a DWI investigation. Following the investigation, Mohawk was taken into custody and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

Mohawk was processed at the scene and later released with appearance tickets. He is scheduled to appear in Salamanca City Court at a later date to answer the charge. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
