(WNY News Now) – A Coldspring man was taken into custody by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office following a domestic incident reported on May 1.
The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office responded to a past tense domestic incident in the Town of Coldspring on Thursday, May 1, 2025. Deputies arrived at the scene and interviewed the victim, completing a Domestic Incident Report (DIR) as part of their initial investigation.
Following the report, patrol officers located the suspect, identified as Benjamin Sebzda. According to authorities, Sebzda was taken into custody without incident regarding the domestic complaint. However, during the arrest process, he was additionally charged with resisting arrest.
Sebzda was transported to the Town of Little Valley Court for arraignment. After appearing before a judge, he was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail to await further court proceedings.
As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
