(WNY News Now) – A Gerry resident has been charged following a larceny investigation by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.

COLD SPRING, NY — The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office arrested 36-year-old Danny L. Willingham II of Gerry, NY, on Saturday, April 26, 2025, in connection with a reported larceny incident in the Town of Cold Spring.

Deputies responded to a complaint and, following an investigation, determined that Willingham had allegedly taken property belonging to another individual without their consent.

As a result, Willingham was charged with Grand Larceny in the fourth degree and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the fourth degree, both class E felonies under New York State law.

Willingham was processed at the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office and subsequently released with an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Cold Spring Court at a later date to answer the charges.

As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
