(WNY News Now) – A 26-year-old Little Valley resident was taken into custody on a bench warrant by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.

LITTLE VALLEY, NY – On April 28, 2025, at approximately 10:39 p.m., deputies from the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office arrested Philip A. Decker, 26, of Little Valley, during an unrelated incident in the Village of Little Valley.

During the course of their response, deputies discovered that Decker had an active bench warrant issued by Dunkirk City Court. The nature of the original warrant was not disclosed by authorities.

Decker was taken into custody without incident. He was later transported by Cattaraugus County deputies and turned over to the Dunkirk Police Department for arraignment proceedings. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
