(WNY News Now) – Lori’s Kountry Kafe, a local diner located on Foote Ave. outside of Jamestown, has closed its doors as it prepares for a remodel and rebranding.
Jamestown, N.Y. – With the continually rising cost of eggs and other breakfast foods, a local breakfast and lunch diner, Lori’s Kountry Kafe, is opting to adapt and overcome.
While the establishment is especially known for their breakfast menu, they will be transitioning into a lunch and dinner restaurant in order to secure a more stable market instead of continuing to compete with other breakfast locales in the area.

They have closed their doors for the month of May as they plan to remodel the restaurant and complete their rebranding. In June, the establishment plans to reopen their doors under a new name, “Phatties”, where they will serve subs, wraps, burgers, sandwiches, and more.
The restaurant also plans to change its hours to accomodate the menu change, transitioning from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (12:30 p.m. on weekends) to 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, while being closed on Sundays.
While this is surely a difficult transition to make, the restaurant is optimistic that this is the route of action that will help them succeed in an increasingly volatile industry.
