(WNY News Now) – A 42-year-old Olean man was taken into custody by Cattaraugus County deputies after being spotted on West State Street.

OLEAN, NY — The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office arrested Joshua J. Mosher, 42, of Olean, on Sunday evening, April 28, 2025, following the discovery of an active arrest warrant.

According to authorities, at approximately 7:00 p.m., patrol deputies observed Mosher walking eastbound on West State Street in the City of Olean. A routine check confirmed Mosher had an outstanding warrant issued by Olean City Court.

Deputies took Mosher into custody without incident. He was then transported to the Olean Police Department, where he was held pending arraignment. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
