(WNY News Now) – A Wellsville resident was taken into custody on a bench warrant following contact with Bolivar Police.
On April 29, 2025, the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael R. French, 46, of Wellsville, NY, on a bench warrant issued by Cattaraugus County Court.
French was initially encountered by the Bolivar Police Department, who later transferred him to the custody of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office. He was subsequently remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail.
Authorities confirmed that French will appear in Cattaraugus County Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
