(WNY News Now) – A Hinsdale man is facing a second-degree menacing charge after allegedly threatening a victim with a deadly weapon during a trespassing incident.
The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office arrested 40-year-old Timothy R. Kiernan of Hinsdale, NY, on May 3, 2025, at approximately 9:15 p.m. in connection to a reported trespass incident on Pennsylvania Road in the Town of Hinsdale.
Deputies were dispatched to the scene following a trespass complaint. Upon investigation, it was determined that Kiernan had allegedly threatened another individual with a deadly weapon. Based on the findings, he was taken into custody and charged with Menacing in the Second Degree.
Kiernan was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to return to the Town of Hinsdale Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
