(WNY News Now) – A motor vehicle crash on Route 242 in Little Valley led to the arrest of a 48-year-old woman on DWI and multiple traffic charges.
The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office reports that Melanie C. Glow, 48, of Little Valley, was arrested in the early morning hours of May 3, 2025, following a single-vehicle accident on Route 242 in the Town of Little Valley.
Deputies responded to the scene at approximately 12:45 a.m. after receiving reports of a car that had left the roadway, struck a tree, and ultimately collided with a residential house. Upon arrival, deputies observed signs of intoxication in the driver, identified as Glow.
Following a field investigation, Glow was taken into custody and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Failure to Maintain Lane, Refusal to Submit to a Breath Test, Reckless Driving, and Speed Not Reasonable and Prudent.
She was arraigned in Little Valley Town Court, where her driving privileges were suspended. Glow is scheduled to reappear in court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
