(WNY News Now) – A Jamestown man is facing multiple charges after police say he was driving impaired with two children in the vehicle.
On the evening of May 9, 2025, at approximately 8:06 p.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department responded to a report of a vehicle operating erratically on the city’s east side.
Police located the vehicle near the intersection of Falconer Street and Stowe Street, where a traffic stop was initiated due to observed traffic violations. The driver was identified as 30-year-old Philip T. Harford.
According to the investigation, Harford was operating the vehicle while his ability was impaired. Officers also discovered two juveniles under the age of 16 inside the vehicle. The children were unharmed.
Harford was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. He is charged with two counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated (DWI) with a child in the vehicle, driving while ability impaired (DWAI), two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and multiple traffic infractions.
He is currently being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
