(WNY News Now) – A 52-year-old Ashford resident is facing charges following an incident involving property damage and harassment.

The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of Paul F. Schulz, 52, of Ashford, New York, in connection with a criminal mischief and harassment investigation that occurred on May 11, 2025.

Deputies responded to a report of a disturbance at approximately 7:00 p.m. at a residence located on Ashford Hollow Road in the Town of Ashford. According to the investigation, Schulz allegedly harassed an individual and caused damage to the victim’s property.

As a result, Schulz was charged with criminal mischief in the fourth degree and harassment in the second degree. He was subsequently arraigned in Machias Town Court and released. Schulz is scheduled to appear in Ashford Town Court at a later date to answer the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
