(WNY News Now) – A structure fire early Tuesday morning in the Town of Ellery left a vacant mobile home heavily damaged, with investigators unable to immediately determine the cause.
ELLERY, NY – On Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at approximately 5:06 a.m., a structure fire was reported at High Acres Mobile Home Park in the Town of Ellery. Emergency crews from the Fluvanna Fire Department, along with several neighboring mutual aid departments, quickly responded to the scene.
Firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze, which engulfed an unoccupied residence. Due to the extent of the fire and the fact that the structure had been vacant for an extended period, the damage was significant.
After the fire was brought under control, the Fluvanna Fire Department requested assistance from the Chautauqua County Fire Investigation Team. The team conducted an origin and cause investigation, but because of the severe damage and the lack of occupancy, investigators were unable to determine an immediate cause for the fire.
