(WNY News Now) – A 29-year-old Jamestown man was arrested Thursday after allegedly striking a woman’s vehicle with a skateboard and fleeing the scene.
JAMESTOWN – Police have charged Michael Morley, 29, with Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree following a reported incident of property damage on the city’s south side.
According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers from the 1st Platoon responded to a criminal mischief complaint around 12:15 p.m. on May 15, 2025. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim, who stated that a male subject had struck her vehicle with a skateboard, causing visible damage, before fleeing on foot.
A short time later, police located the suspect, identified as Morley. He was taken into custody without incident.
Morley was arraigned the same day in Jamestown City Court and charged with Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree, a class E felony under New York State law. He was released on his own recognizance pending further court proceedings. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
