(WNY News Now) – Bethany S. Johnson of Jamestown was charged with felony driving while intoxicated following a single-vehicle accident on Donelson Road in the Town of Kiantone on May 17.

On May 17, 2025, at approximately 8:07 p.m., the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a single motor vehicle accident on Donelson Road in Kiantone. The driver involved, identified as 50-year-old Bethany S. Johnson from Jamestown, was found to be operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

An investigation revealed multiple violations including felony driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree, operating a vehicle while restricted by an ignition interlock device, backing unsafely, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

Johnson was arrested at the scene and is scheduled to appear in Town of Kiantone Court to answer to these charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
