(WNY News Now) – Lydia J. Davis, 34, of Jamestown, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) after Town of Ellicott police observed erratic driving on May 12, 2025.
On May 12, 2025, at approximately 1:37 PM, the Town of Ellicott Police responded to a vehicle complaint on Fairmount Avenue. Officers reported observing Lydia J. Davis operating a vehicle erratically and committing multiple traffic violations. Upon conducting a traffic stop, an investigation determined that Davis was driving under the influence of alcohol.
Davis was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, including a charge for having a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.18% or higher, which is more than double the legal limit. She was issued Uniform Traffic Tickets (UTTs) and subsequently released from custody.
Davis is scheduled to appear in Town of Ellicott Court at a later date to respond to the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
