(WNY News Now) – Conner A. Dale, 18, and Austin R. Sample, 22, both of Jamestown, were charged with possession of burglar tools, criminal tampering, and petit larceny after police discovered them attempting to siphon gas from a disabled truck on May 12.
On May 12, 2025, at approximately 1:18 a.m., Town of Ellicott Police were conducting a routine patrol when they found a disabled vehicle parked on the roadside. Upon investigation, officers observed Conner A. Dale and Austin R. Sample allegedly attempting to siphon gasoline from a 2001 Ford F-450 truck to fuel their own disabled vehicle.
Dale and Sample were charged with possession of burglar tools, criminal tampering in the third degree, and petit larceny. Both individuals were issued appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in Town of Ellicott Court at a later date to respond to the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
